Paisley serenely watches our neighbor from her beloved swing as he climbs a ladder and serenely cleans his beloved rain gutters.
Girlfriend had her very first little black eye this week. She got it last Monday morning (after taking a head dive into the ledge that separates the kitchen tile from the hard wood floor in the living room), and you can still see a bit of the bruise. I figured I better document it.
Those Monday mornings I tell ya. Rough.
And if she isn't the just spitting image of her dad right here then I just don't know what.

Ear hairs
Hello blog.
I've missed writing in here big time. But whenever I think about writing a post, I realize I have no idea what to write about. My life was a lot different a year and a half ago when I started this thing. I blogged about a lot of art stuff, and sometimes posted drawings daily.
Now it's been a VERY long time since I've drawn anything.
Or posted daily.
But it's ok.
Don't worry about it.
Here's a little bit of what I HAVE been doing.
Hanging out with my two favorite peeps.
Putting babies in pumpkins.
Pondering how hard it must be to hold your head up when your cheeks are that big.
Aaaannnnnd here's one more.
Also I've been listening to the new Mumford and Sons album on repeat for like a month now.
Because, honestly. So. Good.
By the way. My baby has tufts of hair that grow out of the tops of her ears. (They are too delicate and shy to be seen in pictures, although we have tried.) Like a hobbit. Except hobbits grow hair on their feet, I think? Maybe an elf. I thought these little hairs would have gone away by now but she seems to be getting more of them. I think I will be sad if I ever discover they are gone one day. I'm not sure where she got the hairy ear genes from. I wish I could say it was me, but alas my ears are bald.

Just checking in ya know.
Hi! I'm back!
From where, you ask?
San Antonio, Texas. Yes that's right! We ventured to the big ol' state this past weekend. I'd never been there before, but I'll be darned if it wasn't basically as cold down there as it's been up here.
What.
BUT. It was a very fun city. And a very fun trip. The hubs and I went down there with his family to see his lil' (but in all reality very tall) bro graduate from the Air Force's basic training. It was awesome to see what he's been up to these past few months and his clean shaven head. And his new dad glasses.
He was an honor graduate. Congrats Brent!
Brent and his sweet little nugget of a girlfriend Mackenzie.
Stay tuned, for I'll be posting more pics and a recap of our little trip later this week!
But now we are back and it's Monday and you know Mondays. They're just...so...annoying. Like, having to wake up and stuff. Not to mention going Christmas shopping for three times as long as you thought you would due to your inability to make decisions.
And on top of that forgetting to eat lunch beforehand.
How can a girl possibly make important decisions about what to buy and wrap up for her family members when all that's sustaining her are two frosted sugar cookies consumed at 7am?
So, it's like that today. All Monday-ish.
But tomorrow is Tuesday and I almost ALWAYS like those.
